The All Around Math Learning Center offers a summer math-science enrichment camp in a small group format for elementary and middle school students. This camp will provide your child with exciting and educational opportunities to explore math and science in the real world. Most schools and classrooms can no longer give your child the small group and hands-on interaction that kids need and love, much less the opportunity to ask questions and create their own experiments! We encourage you to have your child join us for a week of exciting activities. The camps will be designed around the interests of the participants and will include: chemistry in the kitchen, mixology, rocketry, physics in action and much more. Various math concepts will be used in predicting, exploring and explaining results of students experiments. Our vision is to have all students experience the beauty of math and science through fun, engaging, and challenging activities.

Research reveals that "students lose approximately 2.6 months of grade level equivalency in mathematical computation skills over the summer months" and that "students who lose ground over the summer, have a difficult time catching up during the following school year". The primary focus of the Back-to-School Skills Review Camp is to refresh students math, reading and writing skills, and reinforce previously taught concepts before the start of the new academic year. In math the camp offers an array of enrichment opportunities including foundation drills, conceptual exercises, and practice of key operations and applications with an emphasis on both speed and accuracy. In reading we will work on fluency and comprehension, while in writing we discuss the important steps of the writing process, practice both paragraph and essay writing with emphasis on proper grammar. In all three subjects various multi-sensory methods are used to address the needs of diverse learning styles. The camp has a small group format to allow time for interaction between the teacher and each student. Each group is formed based on ability levels and a pretest. Therefore all students (below, at, or above grade level) would benefit from the Skills Review Camp.
